The first is how long a residential street takes: the city's own number is roughly 12 to 14 hours to finish residential routes once a storm hits two inches, and the main roads come first by design. The second is that when the plow finally does come through, it leaves a packed ridge across the bottom of your driveway, and nobody is coming back for that.

What if it snows again right after you leave?
Multi-pass storms are normal here, and the most common reason for a second call is the street plow coming back through and re-blocking the approach. Clearing the approach again is a small job, not a full second visit, and it is priced that way.
